Girls Night Out at Nailtique: Trying Out The Waterless Pedicure

Waterless pedi? You might think a pedicure is not complete if you don’t get to dip your toes into a jetted pedicure tub but after getting my waterless pedi at Nailtique I can tell you I’d be back to get it done tomorrow without hesitation! It’s also one of the cutest places to host a small birthday with your besties, girls night out or bachelorette party.

Nailtique is located at 2001 W Gray, Ste D-11 Houston, TX 77019.  The place is pristine and you are greeted by custom made macarons, fruit-infused water, the lovely front desk assistant Grace and the all the smiling nail technicians in crisp black outfits.

For this occasion, we were celebrating the very special birthday of Tina (my new badass boss!) so she decided to bring some bubbles and other treats which would make for a perfect girls night out. Tina’s mom and sister came along for the ride as well as my mom!

Tina was dreaming of having pink glitter-rimmed champagne glasses and gummy bears in our champagne. Dreams Come True!

Waterless Pedi-What replaces the dip?

Already popular in places like L.A. and Miami, the waterless pedicure does not require you to dip your feet in a tub of water which makes it more sanitary and you also save water. Call me a germaphobe but I love the fact that I do not have to think about dipping my feet in the same tub as someone else. Rather, your feet get sprayed with water (I’ll admit that it felt a little weird at first but I got over it quickly) to make the process similar and warm towels are used to remove any paraffin residue. The nail technician uses exfoliating gloves to massage your feet and legs which leaves your skin uber-soft.

There’s also perks to your pedicure at Nailtique like getting to pick your own scents among Lavender, Pomegranate, Cucumber, Peppermint, Lemon or Mango and what level of pedicure you want: Classic, Deluxe or Premium. I loved that the nail technicians were not offering me additional treatments during the process.

The whole process was a relaxing experience because every single person that works there strives on keeping the whole area in silence. I’m so used to the chaos of a nail salon that this was a very welcomed surprise. A shout-out to Tranhn and Shuttle who made my first waterless pedicure adventure so enjoyable; thank you!

Pomegranate Deluxe Waterless Pedicure For Me

…But Dipping My Feet in the Water Relaxes Me

If you choose the Deluxe pedicure like I did, you also get to dip your feet in paraffin wax (to soften your feet) which will later be tucked into two light blue warming booties that will reap the benefits of the paraffin. Plus, I love that this is the last step in the pedicure process in which you will be able to lay back in the luxe Zero Gravity heated massage chairs and seriously fall asleep. I’ve been told many people snore in there and don’t even realize it!

Can I get one of these massage chairs at home?

Tina’s nails looked amazing!

Tina is so sweet she got brought us little swag bags!
