September 2014 Wishlist

Fashion month has been an overwhelming social media experience for me. Because I’m not at Fashion Week I’m addicted to my Instagram & Facebook feed! I’m constantly checking out all the parties, outfits, fellow bloggers and celebrity sightings (I mean one of my friends already has a photo with Nigel Barker and my other friend met photographer Bill Cunningham!) assisting the shows at Lincoln Center in New York City. I’ve definitely decided: I’m heading to New York Fashion Week ASAP!

I am so excited keeping up with everybody’s posts I can’t even fathom being there. I can’t imagine the explosion of adrenaline just from shoe-watching and photographing street-style; it’s exhilarating.

I’m obviously feeling fashion-inspired and I can’t wait to be try some things this fall and incorporate them into my looks.

The Ear Cuff
1ear

There’s something so unassuming and sexy about ear cuffs (aka ear-climbers).I’ve been obsessed for a while with them but it wasn’t until I spotted them on Taylor Schilling’s ear at the Emmys that I knew I wanted one. Maybe it’s the overdose of sparkle and the way it just delicately hugs all your ear. I can’t wait to try it on my own specially because I’m a big fan of statement earrings.

The Nude Mani

2nude

I always steer away from neutral colors and boring colored manis. But, this season the red carpet has been filled with polished manis in nudes, taupes, soft beiges in all it’s minimalistic glory. So yes, I’ll be going there. I’ll be beige, vanilla, but not boring! Some of the manis have had minimal details that give it edge. Can’t wait to give my nails a make-under.

More Leopard
leopardI owned so many pieces of leopard print clothing between the late 90s and 2000, I really thought it would be a dead trend by now but its transcendental. Clutches, pumps, jackets, sweaters–you can find anything in leopard print and I often see it paired with girly and edgy outfits alike. To me, it’s like a new neutral on the fashion scene.

A Big, Flowy Skirt

big skirtI can’t get enough of these. Those big, cake-doll looking skirts (but please not like Leah Dunham at the 2014 Emmys) ; I love them! I’m considering one for my birthday celebration this year: hot pink or a timeless black one. Whichever the case, I can’t wait to see if I can rock a skirt like this with a crop top of bodysuit, they’re so feminine and look comfortable to wear. Blogger Girl With Curves(pictured on the right with the white skirt) was the first curvy fashionista who I saw it on and now I want to try it myself.

Mirrorred Cat-Eye Round Glasses

mirrored

Modern but with that vintage cat-eye touch. What makes them so modern though are those pops of mirrored colors on the lens and the bold metallic and plastic materials the glasses are made of. I spotted my most coveted pair on Julia from Gal Meets Glam, her Dior shades are to-die-for (first picture on the right). Retro at its best.
