My Week: HOSTESS WITH THE MOSTESS Part II

To continue with my obsession to entertain we road-tripped to Austin and did way more than I thought we could squeeze in these 11 days…..

9) Road trip to AUSTIN and enjoy the scenery of the Texas Hill Country. If you can stop at any of the vineyards we drove by., The view and drive to Austin is simply peaceful. Do make a stop at BUCEES and show them how everything, even convenience stores, are bigger in Texas.

10) Eat the best BBQ at THE SALT LICK in Davenport,Texas. For two people, the Thurman Sampler with ribs, sausage and brisket plus a 1/2 pound of BBQ chicken will make your taste buds tingle.

11) Have a night out at the famous 6TH STREET and go bar hopping like crazy. Our favorite: the CHUPACABRA BAR and drinking a 6 person Margarita Coronita.

12) Enjoy the views from THE OASIS Restaurant overlooking LAKE TRAVIS. Although we did not eat here we did enjoy some tasty cocktails and even got our cartoon done by the most awesome cartoon artist ever and got to take home a unique souvenir.

13) Make your way downtown to Houston’s best “THE MOONLIGHT DOLLS” Burlesque Show in the heart of the historic district and hop on over to the cool bars that are reviving downtown: OKRA Charity Bar and La Carafe, Houston’s oldest bar. Also, Houston is beautiful at night!

14) Show them the famous GALLERIA MALL and let them stare in awe at all the stores but don’t let them get lost!

15) Make a pit stop in DOWNTOWN HOUSTON in the peak midday hours and show them the hustle and bustle of the executive life in Houston. Visit The Big Bad (next to Frank’s Pizza) and sip one of their infused tequila margaritas and be sure to snap a pic in front of the Houston is Inspired mural.
