Flower Power

I love a feminine, flowery dress and this one is the perfect length, fit and color palette. Thanks to Vida Antigua and their amazing vintage & thrifted finds, I have fallen in love with dresses all over again!

This dress is a great option for a garden or day wedding and makes me feel very ladylike. Can’t wait to see what other treasures I can score at Vida Antigua for three upcoming weddings.

Tips on Buying A Flattering Flowery Dress:

1) Make sure the dress hugs you in all the right places. Look at how this dress cinches at my waist to make it appear smaller.

2) Below the knee-length will always be a little classier and easier to sit in if you have fuller thighs and hips like I do.

3) If you have wide hips and a smaller torso like me, make sure the dress “A-Lines” (a style tip from image consultant Sarah Shah) from your waist down for a balanced silhouette.

If you shop at Vida Antigua and make your appointment with the owner, Luz, she’ll pull-out some dresses in your size and get a sense of your style so next time you have an appointment she’ll know what pieces to suggest for you to try on. Every single dress she has suggested is hanging in my closet and you’ve seen them here, here, here and here!
